#31 Wallace Nesbit Award (Photo)
1913: The Winnipeg Fire Department won the “Wallace Nesbitt Trophy”. “Presented to the Canadian Branch of the St. John Ambulance Association for General Competition in First Aid to the Injured”.
Participant teams were judged and graded along with a points system, with the team achieving the highest number of points being declared the winner. These competitions were effective in encouraging all people to take first aid training.
