#8   1966 Mack Pumper

This truck is a 1966 Mack C125 Pumper, served as pumper No. 14 originally and was built in Canada. It served Winnipeg from 1966–1994 when it was transferred into the possession of the Fire Museum. This was the first truck in the Winnipeg Fire Department to feature a diesel engine, which is commonplace on fire trucks now, but was a rarity back then. It was also one of the first trucks that had four seats so all of the crew was able to sit inside or under the cab, as opposed to having a couple of crew members riding a tailboard.

It has a pump capacity of 1050 gpm/ 5000 lpm, and features a 450 gallon/ 1800 liter water tank so that firefighters could get water on the fire before hooking up to a hydrant.
